Working Principle:
The electric motor directly drives the driving wheel, which then drives the steel wire embedded with diamond particles to rotate. The friction between the diamond bead wire and the workpiece to be cut generates a grinding effect, thereby achieving material cutting. The resulting swarf and heat are carried away by cooling water.
Equipment Features:
The saw head has a relatively large weight; during construction, there is no need to drill and install expansion screws—fixing can be done by pressing the base corner with a concrete slab, which reduces damage to concrete. It does not require a large amount of cooling water, only needing to cool the wire, thus lowering water resource demand. The hydraulic system is eliminated, so the cost is relatively low. However, its construction flexibility is not as good as that of hydraulic wire saws; operation is limited in narrow construction spaces, and the cutting force is relatively smaller.
